MY COUPON CODE IS NOT WORKING
There may be several reasons that the coupon is not working. Check the error message for an explanation
Once the coupon has been added to the order, you will see it on the cart page.
Possible Reasons a coupon code applied to the order, but did not apply a discount
- You haven't selected your item - For most codes, after the code is applied, there is a banner at the top of the screen that prompts you to select your promo item from eligible items.
- The discount may be listed at the bottom
- If the code includes one specific item, such as a free tether, the item will add to the cart automatically when the code is applied and there will be no charge added for the item.
- If the coupon code discounts an item of your choice, you will see the charge, but the discount will show at the bottom next to the order total.
- Free Shipping
- Shipping charges only apply to the order once the shipping address is entered. Until you get to the checkout, the coupon may not show any discount on the order.
- Promo offers that include free shipping only apply to orders shipped within the US. If shipping internationally, the code will not apply any discount to the order.
Possible Reasons a coupon code is not applying to the cart
- Promotion has expired
- There will be an error message that states the coupon has expired
- If you believe this is an error, please reach out to us in the chat or contact form
- Coupon is a one time use - "Usage limit for coupon has been reached"
- If you receive a one-time use coupon code, the code will not work on more than one order
- If the order fails for any reason, the coupon will show used on future attempts. If this happens, please reach out through the contact form or email reply so we can reset the code for you
- Coupon is assigned to a different email - "Enter a valid email to use coupon..."
- Some coupons are linked to specific email addresses. If you are trying to use a different email that the one linked to the coupon, you will get an error message.
- For coupons that can only be used with a specific email, you will need to click "proceed to checkout" and enter the appropriate email into the billing field BEFORE you apply the coupon code.
- The order does not qualify for the promotion - "Coupon is not applicable to selected products"
- Not all items are eligible for promo offers - most promo offers cannot be applied to bundles or kits
- If the coupon code discounts a specific item, then the code cannot apply to the order until that item is added to the cart. The code will not add to the cart unless the qualifying item is already in the cart.
- There is a sale or bundle in the cart. Sales items and some bundles may not be combined with any other promo offers. If one of these items are in the cart, then no promo code will be able to be added.
- An unauthorized item is in the cart - ".....cannot be purchased. The chosen "FREE (with bundle)" option is unavailable
- Some bundles include free/discounted items only with the purchase of qualified items in the bundle, (ie a free tether with a device and mount)
- If one of the qualifying items is removed from the cart page and the promo item is not also removed, you will not be able to proceed to checkout. If this happens, you will either need to remove the promo item from the bundle or clear the cart and start over.
