CAN I USE A MOBILE PHONE CHARGER TO CHARGE THE DEVICE?

Yes, as long as the cable is a Type C-A USB and the correct voltage.

Yes, alternative compatible cords will charge the GA devices. 

  • The devices require a Type C-A USB charging cable.  Type C-C will not charge the device.  
  • The charging specs are Input AC 100-240V - 50/60Hz, 0.6A, Output 5.0V - 2000mA
  • Be sure to plug the device directly into an AC wall or car charging adaptor.  Other devices, such as computers, charging blocks, etc will not provide the appropriate voltage.

*If the front worklight is not flashing, then the device is not receiving a charge.  This is most commonly an issue with the cord.
